AI Assistant for Editing

AI Assistant for Editing

Your AI helper for perfecting quotes - get smart suggestions for content, pricing, and organization while you edit.

Overview

The AI Assistant is like having a smart colleague looking over your shoulder while you edit.

Finding the AI Assistant

Look for the AI button in the bottom right while you're editing a quote. It's always there, ready to help with whatever you're working on.

The assistant is context-aware - it knows what you're editing and can make specific suggestions.

What the AI Assistant Does

It Knows Your Current Quote AND Your Context

The assistant has access to:

  • Your current quote and all its details
  • Current intro and outro content
  • All quote items, sections, and organization
  • The same context quotes that were used when generating this quote (if any)

This means the AI assistant understands your pricing patterns and style from the historical quotes you selected. It's like the assistant was there when the quote was first created and remembers what examples you used to teach it your preferences.

For quotes created with AI generation, the assistant maintains that same context. For manually created quotes, the assistant focuses on the current quote content.

How to Ask for Help

Be Specific About What You Want

Instead of: "Fix the pricing" Try: "This client has a tight budget - suggest ways to make this more affordable"

Getting Better Results

Give context when you can:

  • Mention the client industry
  • Note any budget constraints
  • Explain timeline requirements
  • Share complexity level needed

Work iteratively:

  1. Start with broad improvements
  2. Refine specific parts
  3. Test in preview mode
  4. Make final tweaks manually
